Indie App Dev Business Plan

Indie App Developer’s Business Plan

The Part-time Solopreneur

My business plan is very simple: I want to do what I want, when I want and with whom I want and to do as little as possible things that I don’t like.

Now I’m switching my focus from freelancing to an indie app business and eventually, I would like to go full-time as an indie developer.

2025 maybe 🤞

But here's a question for you:

What's your long time plan for indie apps?

Are you planning to keep this just like a side gig or would like to become a full-time indie developer?

There's no wrong answer.

But…

Here is a story for you if you want to take the indie app business seriously.

2 years ago, I was juggling freelance work and tinkering with app ideas.

I was making progress, but it was slow.

Then I had a revelation: I was treating my app business like a hobby, not a startup.

What did I do?

Before I was a developer with a side project, now I switched to the mindset of a CEO.

Invested in myself, bought courses, and mentorships, and surrounded myself with other indie app entrepreneurs. Programming is just a small part of indie app development, I had to learn much more.

The result?

My app income tripled in 6 months.

If this resonates with you, if you're ready to shift gears from hobbyist to app mogul, I'd love to chat.

I’ve put together a small circle of serious app creators by launching the first Indiea App Accelerator Cohort in June. Now I'm getting ready for the second cohort to go even deeper in training and support for the members.

It's not for everyone. But for people looking to take their side hobby FULL TIME, it’s the catalyst that’ll change everything.

That's it for today.
