How I'm planning to win in 2025

Happy New Year πŸ₯³

The Part-time Solopreneur

I don't have specific goals for 2025.

You know, like - earn $100'000

What if I will get to $90'000 "only"

Am I looser now?

Probably not ... $75'000 ... what now?

You see?

That doesn't make sense to set goals like that.

Instead, I will track my income and social following + retention and will focus on actions to keep them growing.

Instead of goals:

Get to $10K/month from indie apps I have a goal or habit to work daily for a 1h+ on my indie apps.

100K followers on YouTube become a weekly video post or 100 minutes daily working on the content.

So, I picked a theme for next year: "The Year of Systematic Growth"

I would like to keep growing my income from Indie Apps and my YouTube channel.

For now, that means I'm adopting two habits and routines:

  • Daily work on indie apps
  • Daily work on content

So I have two KPIs to keep an eye on - income from mobile Apps and following on socials.

I was working on the onboarding flow for the app on the morning before the freediving trip and will do the same tomorrow before going to ride buggies in the desert.

So far, it works well for me.

Think about this approach when you set your goals on January 1.

This is a great day to start something new, but you should start right with setting habits instead of goals.
